We want to extend our deepest appreciation to the community that stands behind our first responders, providing the vital support we need.
The Mountain Green Fire Protection District has not had a tax increase since 2018, but the costs of operating and maintaining essential emergency services have steadily risen. With inflation, increased wages, staffing needs, higher equipment and fuel costs, and and growing demands from a rapidly growing community, current funding no longer meets the department's needs. Raising taxes will ensure fire fighters have up-to-date training, reliable vehicles, and the proper staff to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies. Without additional support, the department risks falling behind in its ability to protect lives and property.
